Earthquake Canyon Bike Tour from Palm Desert California

Be treated to a geological extravaganza on this 20-mile tour that descends through the heart of the San Andreas Fault zone on a paved road to the heart of grape country near Mecca. You will see the stark beauty of the desert as you descend a total of 1,200 feet over the route.

There are no cross roads, no turns, and very little traffic, which makes this a relaxing sightseeing adventure. The course takes you from the transition zone between the Colorado and Mojave deserts, winds its way through the narrow walls of Box Canyon, and finishes with spectacular views of the Salton Sea, Mt. San Jacinto, the All-American Canal, and the agriculture of the eastern Coachella Valley. The tour finishes with a visit to the Oasis Date Gardens for a date shake and restroom break.

A bicycle is an excellent mode of sightseeing. It allows you to see, smell, and hear more than you would from behind the wheel of an automobile while at the same time creating the natural high that good, outdoor exercise produces.

Summary:

48 HOURS MINIMUM ADVANCE BOOKING REQUIRED. Tour includes pickup from most hotels and resorts located east of Palm Spings in the Greater Palm Desert Area. Child ages are 13 and under. Please reserve online, or call us toll-free at 800-409-3174. There is a $5.95 USD processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.
There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges, unless otherwise specified.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

Palm Desert is about 15 miles from Palm Springs.

There is a three-person minimum for this tour to operate. Decision to operate tour will be made 12 hours in advance of tour start time.
