Palm Canyon
Palm Canyon is 15 miles long and is known for its collection of indigenous flora and fauna. California Fan palm trees, the only palm tree indigenous to Southern California, are abundant within the canyon. The greenery can be found situated near rocky gorges and desert lands. The canyon's trading post is a great resource for hiking maps, Native American art, artifacts, books, jewelry and baskets.

Tahquitz Canyon
This canyon is where a gorgeous 60 foot waterfall can be located. A large variety of plant life grows within Tahquitz Canyon, including the beavertail cactus, creosote bush, cudweed, desert mistletoe, jimsonweed, rock daisy and the Western sycamore. When not on the hiking trails, cultural exhibits can be seen inside the canyon's Visitor Center, which also offers an observation deck.

Murray Canyon
Murray Canyon is home to many California Fan palm trees. The Peninsula Big Horn Sheep is an endangered species that makes its home along the high canyon grounds. Mule deer can also be seen roaming the high canyon grounds. The endangered Least Bells Vireo bird species is indigenous to Murray Canyon, which is the most secluded of the Indian Canyons.

Andreas Canyon
Andreas Canyon contains more than 150 plant species within a half-mile radius. There is a scenic foot trail within the canyon that passes California Fan palm tree groves, odd rock formations and the Andreas Creek. The canyon's subdued setting makes it a quiet, peaceful place for birdwatching.
