Our named tours listed below are easy enough to be manageable for the novice cyclist yet provide plenty of variety for the intermediate to advanced cyclist on vacation. You can choose from options such as the Valley View Descent, La Quinta Loop, or The Box Canyon Express. Each tour features a brief history on the various regions of the Coachella Valley and the surrounding mountains.

Valley View Descent - The riders are bussed from their hotel to a starting point just above the Bighorn complex on route 74. There, riders are treated to a sweeping overlook of the entire valley. The riding begins with a pleasant two-mile descent to the Valley floor. From there, the course takes us on a sightseeing route through Palm Desert and up towards the Living Desert. A 45-minute stopover and optional hike at the Living Desert allows the riders to get a taste of our area's natural fauna and animal life. We'll enjoy a date shake there and continue our descent with stops at the Vintage and El Dorado Country Clubs featuring several celebrity homes. From there, it's homeward bound with a custom route to your group's hotel. Price includes admission to the Living Desert and a date shake. La Quinta Loop - We start this tour at the historic La Quinta Hotel or riders can be bussed from their hotel for a start at the La Quinta Community Park on Montezuma Ave. The riding starts with a gentle climb to the La Quinta cove via a well-marked and paved bike path. After taking in the views from atop the cove and enjoying a snack, riders descend down towards the valley floor and ride along the Coachella Valley aqueduct where they will have a chance to do some entry-level off-road riding, hear some tall tales, and learn about the natural history of the desert. Riders will have a chance to ride through PGA West with its world-renowned golf courses. PGA West will also serve as a second snack and refreshment stop, turnaround point, and restroom break. The Box Canyon Express - Riders are treated to a geologic extravaganza on this 22 mile tour that descends from the General Patton Museum at Chiriaco Summit to the heart of grape country near Mecca. Riders will see the stark beauty of the desert as they descend a total of 3000 feet over the 22-mile route. The course takes riders from the transition zone between the Colorado and Mojave Desert, winds its way through the narrow canyon walls of Box Canyon and finishes with spectacular views of the Salton Sea, Mt. San Jacinto, the All-American Canal, and the agriculture of the eastern Coachella Valley. Tour includes a brief visit to the General Patton Museum.
